1. A ROSE CALLED THANDI
Thandi's Book Thandi
SUMMERY A ROSE CALLED THANDI: FIRST EDITION
A Rose called Thandi is a direct derivative of a Manuscript written by the Rose – Thandi Precious Tsakani Baloyi as a breakthrough to her motivational talks. From child hood conducted herself as a conscientious, hard-working, dedicated, above average, and a very pleasant young lady to be with, and a friend to all. She is a first born daughter of Mrs MM Baloyi and DK. Reflected to be an above average performer in her schooling, obtained first position from primary to high school and completed her studies with a bachelor. She was placed in a waiting list for MBCHB studies at the then Medical University of South Africa, rather than waiting went to Witwatersrand University of Technology for a Biomedical Diploma which she finalised at Port Elisabeth University of technology. While studying at Wits accompanied her father DK, a Psychologist during motivational talks and developed an interest in Personality theories. To test their significance in transforming human behaviour, experimented with her life and studies.
Conducted a SWOT Analysis, wrote her vision, mission, strong and weak personality qualities with mitigating factors and linked these directly to her life and studies. In conclusion of the strategic session, decided to follow two careers, Medicine and Chartered Accountant. To achieve, committed self through signing a Personal Oath, in so doing; burned all bridges that would act as distractors and went through modules like a blunt knife on butter. On realising success, assisted other students, and soon was a motivational speaker. On completing the Biomedical diploma, like Erik Erickson, who completed the theory of Relativity, decided to continue studies on part-time, despite the fact that his father was a director and the family self-sufficient. She knew what she wanted to become, and made youth realise their dreams, made a breakthrough in one of her talks during Youth day – June 16 2004 in Garankuwa – Christ the New Man Catholic Church. On receiving a standing ovation, promised the audience a guide on how to follow dreams for happiness and success. While working as an Immunologist at Am path Pretoria, registered for a year’s Diploma course in HIV/ AIDS with Florida Technikon, an Honours in Biomedical technology with Peninsular University of Technology and for a Bachelor of Commerce with University of South Africa in 2003. In January 2004, added another load to her overloaded truck; registered to write a Professional Board for Medical technology examinations, and in May 2004, fulfilled her promise to the audience and penned a booklet titled: “WINDOWS ON YOUR FUTURE.” Simply … know what you want to become. Most youth don’t know what they want to become, or a career to follow, and parents, significant others and care givers fail to assist. In September 2004, told parents and immediate friends that she did well and planned to continue her masters and doctoral studies in the UK, arranged a Visa and passport, almost everything and to thank herself board a car that became her coffin. On 30th October 2004 passed away in a car accident. On packaging her belongings and study material, I found the booklet, completed two days prior the accident. She did well in all her studies, certificates received post-humously are in the book. Find out how she managed through this book, and live a life of happiness and achievement. The book is not an autobiography, but a motivational booklet written as a Tribute to the LEGACY she left behind for us, me you and YOU. Present to you: A ROSE CALLED THANDI …
2. SUMMERY A ROSE CALLED THANDI
SUMMERY A ROSE CALLED THANDI: SECOND EDITION
Unleash Brain Power and Awaken the Genius in You!!!
Unleash your unlimited brain power or awaken your inner genius to forever benefit from God’s given wonders of your mind is an eye opener to be cherished, lived, and shared with others across the globe: Read and understand Psalm 121 … The Lord is our Protector; read and underlined by Thandi a month prior death September 2004. This edition is a never read me once; it is not what you pass through that makes you a remarkable, enjoyable, happy, successful and goal directed individual … It is YOU the person!!!
Reading and relieving the book, you’ll realise; defeat is not the end, but an opportunity to try again: ‘KNOCK DOWN IS NOT A KNOCKOUT.’ You may be down but not out; never throughout life has a man who lived a life of ease left a name worth remembering. Footprints she left behind is like a voice of caution to people as they continue to define and redefine themselves. The book is a motivational encounter with yourself. Time is never late for you to use your brain’s potential and become the light you’re supposed to be. Begin to light your candle high for everyone to see and be a salt for the world (Mathew 5:13–15, Mark 9:50, and Luke 14:34-35). It does not matter who you are, you don’t have to live like a pauper, but like a king; you were born to be an achiever; rise and claim what truthfully belongs to you.
We graduate from various institutions and life scenarios, but the school of life is a common denominator … practical, direct and test continuously. Anyone who graduated from the school of life never forgets. Education is what survives when what has been learnt is forgotten. A person who won’t read has no advantage over one who can’t read. Own the book and be blessed. Theodore Roosevelt says; “If there is no war, there is no great general; if there is not a great occasion, you don’t get a great statesman; if Lincoln had lived in a time of peace, no one would have known his name.” If Thandi never met an early death, her Legacy would not have existed. To conclude, your character should be: “I will persist until I succeed. I was not delivered into this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I’m not a sheep waiting to be prodded by a shepherd; I’m a lion; I refuse to talk, walk or sleep with the sheep.” Your motto forward should be: “The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny… will persist until I SUCCEED!” AMEN.
